Hal Turner, the hate-spewing, Webcasting white supremacist, is at it again. This time, police arrested him at his North Bergen home and charged him with inciting readers to “take up arms” against two Connecticut lawmakers a state ethics employee.
An extradition hearing will be held today for Turner, 47, who was arrested before he could fulfill a promise on his blog to publicize the home addresses of his targets.
“Mr. Turner’s comments are above and beyond the threshold of free speech,” Capitol Police Chief Michael J. Fallon said in an e-mail announcing the warrant. “He is inciting others through his website to commit acts of violence and has created fear and alarm. He should be held accountable for his conduct.
Turner had battled a bill, since scuttled, that would have transferred certain power in the Roman Catholic Church from church officials to lay members.
