Cops infiltrate Facebook to bust after-prom pot party: Fair play?

Dozens of teens who were headed to an after-prom party stocked with alcohol and drugs had their “secret” bash cancelled by North Jersey detectives who’d infiltrated their Facebook pages.

Investigators created bogus identities to access the site, then found out what they needed to know before stopping the teenagers a few miles from Fair Lawn High School.

Four of them ended up in custody — all of them 17-year-old boys who police said were carrying marijuana, scales and baggies — after the caravan was stopped.

The cybercops had gathered quite a bit of intel, identifying the party van the crew had rented, the cabin where the teens planned to stay — even what alcohol they’d packed for the trip. Three dozen youngsters signed up for the blowout, as cops quietly peered over their shoulders.

Which makes me wonder: How many issues can a single event raise?
